Every day, our gaming floor gets busy with real dealers hosting table games in the heart of Hamilton, right on Victoria Street. We offer everything from Classic Roulette and Rapid Roulette, to Blackjack, Midi Baccarat, Caribbean Stud Poker, Three Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. Some tables come with progressive jackpots which reset each time they hit.

The venue opened in September 2002 and is spread over 16,000 square feet. Game limits go up and down depending on the table and the hour. Most tables suit casual play, though our Saloon 8 is strictly invite-only for Platinum and VIP Black members, with higher betting limits.

We require a SHOW by SkyCity card or valid Premier Rewards card for table games. The system tracks how long you play and reminds you to take a break when needed.

Game Schedules

Ultimate Texas Hold’em Poker is open daily from 4pm. Three Card Poker is open from 6pm, Thursday to Sunday. Texas Hold’em Poker is available with two tables on Saturdays and Sundays from 4pm to late, and registrations open at 3pm. Table-games opening times and availability are subject to change based on staffing levels.

Entry Rules and Hours

You’ll need to be at least 20 years old to enter any gaming area. Please bring ID with your date of birth - we accept New Zealand driver’s licences, passports, HANZ 18+ cards, or other official photo ID.

Entry fee details are subject to confirmation. If you’re here for the first time, register at our rewards desk and you’ll get your SHOW card before you play. This keeps everyone on track for responsible gaming and helps us keep an eye on session times.

Please note the casino is closed from 3am to 1pm on Anzac Day. Opening hours may differ for certain sections and are subject to change based on table games schedules and staffing. SkyCare breaks pause your play once your session gets too long, helping you manage your time responsibly.

Gaming Machines

Gaming machines operate across the casino floor. We’ve set up a blend of classic three-reel games, video slots, and some progressives for jackpot chasers.

To start, just slide in your SHOW card. This card tracks time and spend, so the loyalty rewards keep stacking up the more you play. Slot play earns points, and those points convert to perks you can use within the SHOW program.

SkyCare breaks work on machines to help manage your gaming sessions. The system monitors your play and enforces mandatory pauses to support responsible gaming.

Saloon 8 - VIP Gaming

Saloon 8 is our private, premium room. For Platinum and VIP Black members only, this space is all about special treatment - private tables, high betting limits, and service that isn’t available anywhere else in the casino.

Access is strictly on invitation, based on your play and your loyalty status. Saloon 8 opens during our busiest hours, and you’ll need to reserve in advance. Everything available on our main floor is here too, but for higher stakes and with much more privacy. When our Saloon 8 is full, VIP cardholders also get first-choice tables on the main floor.

Responsible Gaming and Support

We want every visit to end well, so we take problem gambling seriously. All table games and slot machines run on our mandatory player card system. This helps us spot risky behaviors by tracking session time, spend, and patterns.

SkyCare interrupts your session at specific intervals to support responsible play. The system works for both machines and tables, with staff making sure the rules are followed.

Card signups require the same ID as entry rules. Once you’re set up at the rewards desk, it’s instant access to the gaming floor.

Status climbs automatically when you play more: start at Standard, then work up to Silver, Gold, Platinum and VIP Black. Higher tiers unlock better perks: priority services, special events, free parking, and points bonus boosts.

What can points be swapped for?

1. Free play credits loaded directly onto your SHOW card.

4. Merchandise from the rewards catalogue.

If you’d rather, the Premier Rewards card works as a second option for loyalty rewards. You can’t have both active at once.

Payment and Location

Cash transactions all go through casino cages on the gaming floor - that’s where you get chips for table games or credits for slots. Bigger cash amounts trigger extra ID checks for legal reasons.

For food, drinks, and entertainment, pay by NZ debit card at the venue’s EFTPOS terminals. Gaming itself needs cash or chips - we don’t offer card-loaded slots or tables.

ATMs sit by the main entrances and near the floor. Withdrawal limits depend on your bank.

Smaller wins are paid right at your seat or slot. Large wins (over the regulatory threshold for NZD) are handled at the cages with some ID. Jackpot wins over 10,000 NZD may require additional tax documentation; usually, we can release funds the same business day.

Our underground carpark accommodates up to 340 spaces, with entry from Alma Street. The ticketless barrier system uses licence plate recognition for entry and exit. If you spend more than 125 NZD across our venue in one visit, parking charges drop automatically.

We’re located at 346 Victoria Street, Hamilton Central, Hamilton 3204, New Zealand, right in central Hamilton. If you’re coming by coach, the terminal is a ten-minute walk away.

There’s no hotel on site, but Novotel Tainui, Ramada by Wyndham, and other nearby hotels are just around the corner. Some of our dining areas look out over the Waikato River. The entire ground floor is wheelchair-accessible.
