Logging In and Getting Set Up

To play at SkyCity Hamilton, you need to use a SHOW by SkyCity or Premier Rewards card. These cards are linked to your account and track your sessions, win points, and keep gaming safer for everyone. You can register online or come and get started at 346 Victoria Street. Profiles may be set up by venue. Premier Rewards members receive shared benefits across SkyCity properties, subject to programme terms.

If you’re new, there are a few things we need: proof that you are at least 20 if you are signing up or entering the casino, up-to-date details, and an agreement to responsible gaming. As soon as we’ve checked your details, you’ll get your card and an account number tied to that card. Digital login access will arrive after your details are processed; timing may vary.

SHOW by SkyCity members can earn Rewards Points across participating outlets at any SkyCity and redeem them for rewards.

Registering as a New Member

Haven’t played at SkyCity Hamilton before? Before jumping in, you’ll need to get your membership sorted. There’s an online bit, and a quick visit to us in person, to follow the New Zealand rules. Sign up can be completed online, at a SHOW by SkyCity kiosk, or with assistance at a Guest Services Desk on the main casino floor at SkyCity. It takes 3-5 minutes to complete the sign up process.

Here’s how the online bit goes:

1. Go to skycityhamilton.co.nz and find where to sign up for membership.
2. Select SHOW by SkyCity Rewards or SHOW by SkyCity card, depending on the sign-up flow.
3. Fill in your name, contact details, birthdate, and your residential address.
4. Give us your email address and choose a secure password.
5. Read and accept the terms, including responsible gaming.
6. Send it through and jot down your reference number.

After that, it’s time to stop by reception with your ID:

1. Provide your temporary reference number.
2. Show your ID so we can confirm your age.
3. Your SHOW by SkyCity card is printed and activated in person.
4. You’ll set a PIN for safe card use.
5. Remember to take regular breaks during extended play as guided by SkyCare prompts.

You’ll be ready to play right after. Make sure your card is inserted in the machine or shown to the dealer so play can be tracked.

Using Your Account, Tracking Progress

Log in to your member dashboard and review the available features:

Every time you’re at a gaming machine or table in Hamilton, your playing time is recorded. The system knows when you’ve been playing for extended periods - at that point, you’ll get a prompt for a SkyCare break. All the while, your points add up from every spin, hand, or round.

Rewards Points can be checked on-site at a Rewards Kiosk, a Gaming Machine, or a Guest Services Desk, and also by logging into the account online or via the SkyCity app.

Changing your points into rewards is easy, online or right at the service counter. Points can be redeemed for rewards at participating outlets, depending on the programme and venue. If you’re up on the Premier Rewards ladder, you’ll also get VIP and cross-casino rewards. Existing Premier Rewards members can continue to use their current Premier Rewards card and may transfer membership tier and accrued points to the newly branded programme.

Stuck Logging In or Having Card Trouble

Now and then, login issues pop up: wrong password, a bit of a wait on card activation, or you try the wrong code too many times and get locked out. Here’s some quick steps for password issues:

1. Hit “Forgot Password” on the login screen.
2. Enter your registered email.
3. Look out for an email with a reset link (good for 2 hours).
4. Make a new password (pick something strong).
5. Log in again with the new details.

Locked out for too many missed attempts? You can wait it out - about half an hour - or reach out to our Shift Manager at 0800 SKYCITY for help right away. If anything happens to your card (lost, cracked, just vanished), visit us with your ID and grab a new one. Your account number and points are safe and roll over straight away.

Keeping Play Responsible

We’re big on making sure gaming stays fun and safe. With cards for every player, we keep tabs on time spent, betting patterns, and step in if needed. Those SkyCare breaks aren’t just suggestions - they’re enforced, with your card pausing access until your break is done. After extended continuous play, SkyCare will prompt you to take a break at specific intervals. There are limits and tools to help you manage your gaming, such as spending caps and break options.

Opening Times and Entering the Casino

Hamilton casino floor opens up at 10am Monday to Thursday, and closes at 4am (last entry at 3:20am). Come Friday, we stay open right through until Monday morning, except holidays.

We close for Christmas Day and Good Friday. On Anzac Day, we pause from 3am until 1pm. Best to check your account for special holiday hours before planning a late visit.

You must be 20 or older and have valid identification (and your card) to enter - security will check in at the door. Remember to take regular breaks during extended play as guided by SkyCare prompts.

Playing with Your Card

Once you’ve got your login and your card, you can check everything about the games offered. There are hundreds of slots and electronic machines here. Fancy table games? Try blackjack, baccarat, roulette or one of our poker tables. What you stake will depend on game and time.

Always slot your card into the machine before play, and keep it there. Take it out during your game, and you’ll need a staff member to unlock the machine. If you’re at a table, use your card as instructed by the staff to ensure your play is tracked.
